On Feb. 6, 2018, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission released its Supplemental Environmental Assessment for public review and comment, concluding with a recommendation that FERC approve the amendments to the license and include the mandatory conditions of the U. S. Forest Service, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the mitigation measures and plans requested by Denver Water in its application. The FERC also recommends additional plans to monitor quarry operations.

FERC has provided a 30-day comment period for the Supplemental Environmental Assessment, with comments filed no later than March 8, 2018, in accordance with the instructions detailed here.
